A three hour introductory session for agencies, organisations and individuals considering engaging men in childcare settings
Involving men in childcare settings is seen as being difficult to achieve. Building on the successful working of Children North East's father work we are offering an introductory session for managers and their staff which will enable a discussion on the topic of involving men in childcare settings. It is anticipated that this will be the first step in the development of strategies to bring men into various childcare settings.
The aim
To explore and consider implications for agencies and organisations who wish to engage with men and to consider the development of a locally relevant position paper on this topic.
The outcome will be
The agencies/organisations will develop an initial position statement on the topic of engaging men in childcare settings.
