A Range of Half Day Sessions for Managers, Administrators and Frontline Staff to Support Male Inclusion

Fathers Plus offer a range of short half day sessions to support the inclusion of fathers and men in services.

Sessions are available to target the needs of all staff within a variety of settings including early years, schools, health and midwifery, family learning, youth offending, teenage pregnancy and safeguarding.

Introduction to Working with Fathers and Family men

Including men is now a national requirement. This training looks at the key policies and agendas that specify the inclusion of men and why men need to be involved in their child's life. It also covers how organisations and their systems can become more men friendly.

Becoming a Dadvocate! Champion work with fathers

Bang the drum of fatherhood! This session will recruit managers and workers from services who wish to engage with more fathers and men. Attendees will be given the support and practical tools they need to champion work with fathers in their own organisations.

Developing Services for the Pregnant Man

Yes, a man is pregnant too, not physically but emotionally, financially, and in every other way. This training will focus on how to support the needs of the pregnant man and how to develop and deliver services to meet these needs.

Working with Young Fathers

Research has shown that young fathers are not being sufficiently targeted or included in services that promote better parenting and family welfare. This training will raise awareness of the negative stereotypes, expectations, problems and challenges these young men face. The session will also focus on how to develop services to support and engage with young fathers.

Dealing with Disagreement - A Mans view

Men may be angry or aggressive for many different reasons. This training will raise awareness of the issues some men face and how services can work with them to ensure better outcomes for them and their children

Women Working with Fathers and Men

You don't have to be a man to work with dads! This training aims to increase the confidence and skills of female workers engaging with men.

Recruiting men into services. How to do it.

This fun practical session covers hows to get fathers and family men into services and how to keep them! With practical tips and harvesting methods this training is a great start for services who wish to actively engage with more men

Involving Dads and Men in Learning (schools, family learning, early years etc)

Better exam results, better school attendance, less criminality, better mental health; these are just a few of the outcomes that are associated with father involvement in children's learning. This training covers the key agendas that specify the inclusion of fathers and family men in their children's learning and gives practical methods of how to engage with them.

Non Residential Fathers and Men

When relationships break down services need to support dads to stay involved with their children. This training focuses on fathers who do not live with their child, identifies the issues and barriers they face and highlights methods to engage them.
