Why is the Children and Young People's Plan Important

The new Children's Act (2004) makes each local authority responsible for improving outcomes for children and young people. The local authority is required to produce a Children and Young People's Plan (CYPP) which reflects the aims of the 'Every Child Matters' green paper.
